Leaders Emerge From The Crowd To Stand Out
Founder of Guidelight Psychology, Peter Doyle, recently had the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent twilight run for charity through the heart of New York in the downtown financial district of Manhattan.
Much like the journey of life, the run started with a large group of people gathering after a day’s work, hoping to enjoy each other’s company and to step up for a worthwhile challenge together.
- Many were not sure if they could run the full distance.
- Others were vague about the course route.
- Some were unsettled that they might not be fully committed to the spirit of the event.
As you can see - for a large percentage of the crowd, what was planned as a fun event had actually triggered some deeper fears/vulnerabilities.
The patterns of our life will mirror the patterns of our mind. Peter felt grateful and appreciative to have both the time and opportunity to have traveled to the USA. It was also a real privilege to have been included as a guest member of the New York University Heart Research Team participating in this charity run event. For him, it was a dream come true to be in the Big Apple for the very first time.
Supported by a mindset of gratitude, appreciation, joy and confident excitement, the run through the streets of this iconic city flowed like magic, the collective energy of 50,000 participants became an inspiration, and a beaming smile based on a joyful mindset led to Peter standing out in the crowd.
At our Gold Coast Psychologist Clinic, we respectfully coach our clients in the art of Leadership, and Positive Psychology practices - and this simple story is an excellent reminder of how personal power and transformation unfolds.
As you positively change the habit of how you think, moving away from the limiting fears conditioned by others into your mind, and instead move into the habits of love, trust and appreciation ... so too will you start to stand out from the crowd.
Leadership comes as you cultivate a more open heart and believe in your personal power. It does not require a formal title or status. It is a personal choice to be all that you can be, every day - and our Leadership Circles are one excellent way to support your journey to stand out as your true self!
